Pronaos installation
While the subject matter of the Pronaos series is the human body, the themes are fundamental aspects of the human experience: spirituality, transience and place. The artst's intent is to put the viewer virtually and mentally in a transitional place, relegating to the viewer to go beyond and step into the sacred perception of our bodies and lives, or to stay in the superficial view of the skin. Whether looking at a single image or experiencing the paintings collectively in regularly spaced intervals along the gallery walls, a shift towards the language of architecture to discuss the work feels both natural and inevitable.
